A collaborative meet-up dedicated to ILGA World member organisations as they prepare for IDAHOBIT 2026. Thursday 7 May, 3:00–4:00 PM CEST. Online. The session provides a space for members to share upcoming IDAHOBIT 2026 events and initiatives, exchange campaign resources including messaging and visuals, strengthen event mobilisation efforts across regions, and identify opportunities for collaboration and mutual support. Whether planning an event, supporting advocacy efforts, or looking to engage your community, this is an opportunity to connect, learn and mobilise together.
Planning and Implementing 2SLGBTQI Events Amid Rising Hate
A free one-hour webinar held in recognition of IDAHOBIT and ahead of Pride season, offering practical guidance on planning and hosting safer 2SLGBTQI events in a time of rising anti-2SLGBTQI hate. Participants will gain essential safety tips for attendees and de-escalation communication techniques to navigate challenging situations. From Insight to Action: Launching the Queer Forced Displacement Network (QFDN)
From Insight to Action: Launching the Queer Forced Displacement Network (QFDN) — the culminating conference of Rainbow Railroad's Queer Forced Displacement Initiative (QFDI). Taking place 6–8 May 2026 in Bangkok, Thailand (in-person and online), the conference officially launches the QFDN: a global multi-stakeholder network advancing protection, advocacy and coordinated support for LGBTQI+ people experiencing forced displacement. Highlights include launching interim governance, sharing regional consultation findings, endorsing the Multi-Stakeholder Declaration, and building connections across civil society, governments, UN agencies, funders and people with lived experience. This conference takes place in the frame of IDAHOBIT 2026 and the global theme 'At the heart of democracy.'
IDAHOBITA* 2026 – München (Kundgebung und Demo)
Am Sonntag, 17. Mai 2026, ab 15:00 Uhr findet am Sendlinger Tor Platz in München die IDAHOBIT-Auftaktkundgebung statt. Anschließend zieht der Demozug über Oberanger, Isartor und Gärtnerplatz bis zum Sub (Müllerstraße/Ecke Fraunhoferstraße), Ende gegen 17:00 Uhr. Zu Beginn sprechen Vertreter:innen verschiedener LGBTIAQ*-Organisationen. Bitte Fahnen, Flaggen und Schilder mitbringen. Mitveranstaltet von der Münchner Aids-Hilfe. Alle sind herzlich eingeladen.
Marcha contra la LGBTfobia – Tuxtla Gutiérrez
El próximo 15 de mayo se llevará a cabo la Marcha contra la LGBTfobia en Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas, México, para alzar la voz por los derechos de la comunidad LGBTIQ+ y conmemorar el Día Internacional contra la Homofobia, la Bifobia y la Transfobia (IDAHOBIT). Convocada por colectivos y organizaciones de la región, la marcha llama a la comunidad a salir a las calles y visibilizar las luchas y resistencias del movimiento.
4º Fórum IDAHOT 2026 – Oeiras
Em parceria com a Câmara de Oeiras e o Cenjor, o 4º Fórum IDAHOT 2026 decorre no dia 22 de maio no Templo da Poesia, em Oeiras. O evento assinala o Dia Internacional contra a Homofobia, a Bifobia e a Transfobia (IDAHOT) e inclui a sessão temática «Rainbow Connections: da igualdade formal à igualdade vivida», dois workshops — um sobre o projeto Rainbow Connections e outro sobre comunicação inclusiva — e debate sobre o espaço público como fator integrador e inclusivo da população LGBTI+. Mai 2026, von 08:30 bis 16:30 Uhr, veranstaltet die Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences die Tagung »IDAHOBITA 2026: Sehnsucht nach Freiheit – Queere Perspektiven auf Migration, Flucht und Asyl«. Die Veranstaltung beleuchtet die Schnittstellen von Queerness, Migration und Asylrecht und schafft Raum für Austausch, Reflexion und Vernetzung.
