May 17 is the international day against lesbophobia, homophobia, biphobia, transphobia and intersexphobia. Since 2004 organisations worldwide are drawing attention to hate and discrimination based on sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, and gender characteristics. So on May 17th we CELEBRATE sexual and gender diversity. Because isn’t queer joy stronger than anything that threatens us?
This event is produced by COC Haaglanden and Amare Open.
A More Loving World
Location: Frederiksplein 54, Amsterdam, The Netherlands
Date: 16 may – 18 may
Time: 08:00 – 18:00
Info: At The School of Life we developed a small campagne to raise awareness during the IDAHTB. We layed out a queer book section for information, give a card with every coffee with the question: How could I contribute to a more inclusive society and how would I feel if someone hated me for who I am. Aside we have a discount on our book ‘ A More Loving World ‘ which encourages compassion and forgiveness while demonstrating how we can strive towards a better and kinder world’.
