Events by different groups marked the Day in Romania.  In Bucharest, ACT-Q Romania held a special event for IDAHO 2013, involving music, film, theatre and debate. The group Rainbow Prahova also organised an event for the International Day Against Homophobia & Transphobia 2013.

Act-Q Events:

Music, film, theatre and debate marked the event on May 17th, 2013 from 7.00pm
Organisers advised in the lead up to the event: ‘Organised by ACT-Q ROMANIA, not for profit LGBT NGO for culture & communication, the 2013 IDAHO Special Event will take place on May 17th, downtown Bucharest, Romania at TABU THEATRE. The event will consist in a series of LGBT themed moments: Theatre play: I want to break free – 5 erotic scenes from the novel Dona Juana by Lorena Lupu; Movie screening: Romanian first screening of the documentary East Bloc Love by australian director Logan Mucha; and a debate with the audience about LGBT Rights and Homophobia in nowadays Romania.’
