Community organisers in Krakow once again held Poland’s annual May Queer Festival, which ran throughout the week of IDAHOT. Timed to coincide with IDAHOT 2016, the event ran from May 11 – 22 and included a wide range of inclusive and fun activities that included talks and public forums, workshops, live performances, film screenings, parties and political protests. The event also featured a special dedication to IDAHOT on May 17, which included a focus on mental health and wellbeing.
The annual event once again proved to be a hugely important part of Poland’s LGBT calendar, with a full range of activities that helped foster cooperation and acceptance within Polish society.
Highlights of the festival also include the International March, which invited individuals and groups from across Europe to celebrate diversity and to demand international action on issues affecting The LGBT community.
