In Macau, the International Day against Homophobia and Transphobia was celebrated with a two-day event in different locations, organised by the Rainbow of Macau.

On May 17 and 18, Rainbow of Macau organised a mini-exhibit and sticker action. Everyone was invited to join the actions that took place on Rua do Campo and Senado Square. At the exhibit the people passing by were informed about LGBTQ community questions, and were given stickers with supportive messages.

“Come to our counters to get your copy of LGBTQ-supportive stickers with special messages from the LGBT community. Be you straight or not, come to show your support!” – Rainbow of Macau

About Rainbow of Macau:

Rainbow of Macau is the first pro-LGBT and sexual minority organisation in Macau. It aims to improve social status, livelihood and convenience of LGBT communities in Macau.
Following the government’s announcement to remove “same-sex cohabitants” from domestic violence legislation in November 2012, the Macau LGBT Rights Concern Group (LGBT Macau) was established in December 2012 and organised the first Rainbow Equality Parade which marked the start of LGBT rights campaign in Macau.
The Rainbow of Macau was officially registered in April 2013. The founders of the Macau LGBT Rights Concern Group, who are also the founding members of the Rainbow of Macau, agreed to the annexation of the Macau LGBT Rights Concern Group to the Rainbow of Macau.
