IDAHOT celebrations in Northern Ireland

IDAHOT Derry, L’Derry will be celebrating their first event this year for IDAHOT under the theme ‘Different Kind of Lunch’ and Belfast will start the Anti Homophobia and Transphobia week on Monday, May 12.

Derry
The organisers are a charity based in Northern Ireland and set up to support the LGBT community within Northern Ireland.
The afternoon of activities will take place from 1pm till 3pm at the Cafe Soul in Derry and will include family-friendly activities such as balloon modelling, face painting etc. With the event, the organisers intent to bring people together to celebrate diversity and acceptance, to raise awareness of homophobia and transphobia and to include Derry/Londonderry in this years IDAHOT global celebrations.
LGBT Northern Ireland is a voluntary organisation established to support and help people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender and their families.

Belfast
A week of events for May 17 are scheduled in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The Northern Ireland Anti Homophobia and Transphobia Week 2014 launches at Belfast City Hall on Monday 12th May at 10.30am. There will be a series of events for the following days of this week, and a calendar is currently being finalised culminating in the IDAHOT services on Sunday 18th May. (Event Link)
