IDAHOt 2016 Events: South Africa

In Cape Town local LGBT group Let’s Face It will be visit several important local landmarks, including the National Slave Monument, as part of a tour of their Rainbow Africa. The group will be talking to individuals along the way and hope to use the time to address issues of discrimination and stigma within South Africa.
In Pretoria,  OUT LGBT Well Being is hosting two days of events with the support of the French cultural institute Alliance Française and several embassies.  The event will feature spoken word performance, live music and an art show and film screening, all in support of IDAHOT 2016.

In Durban, campaigners from Same Love Toti will organise a special beach walk to celebrate IDAHOT 2016. The event will invite the LGBT community and their allies to come together to celebrate the day, and will also encourage families and young people to take part.
