The Day in El Salvador was marked by the inauguration of a new help line to assist and care for LGBTTTI communities, which is supported by the Ministry of Social Inclusion (SIS). Trans activists linked to the group REDTRANSAL (Trans Network of El Salvador) also hosted an event in which participants discussed and called for the creation of an action plan to achieve a gender identity law in El Salvador.

Trans communities and allies of El Salvador attended the Forum on the gender identity law, and they also invited a number of Deputies to the event. The REDTRANSAL Collective consists of the Trans Alexandria, AsTrans, ASPIDH COMCAVIS TRANS and TRANS. The event was held on Saturday May 25, 2013 at the Hotel Intercontinental (13:00 – 18:00).
