Event: Global Conference on the rights and inclusion of LGBTI+ youth
Direction: MAG Jeunes LGBT and OutRight Action International, in partnership with UNESCO, the delegations of Austria, Canada, France and the Netherlands to UNESCO and the City of Paris will organise the first the Global Conference for the Rights and Inclusion of LGBTI + Youth.

Info: This conférence will take place on the 17th of May 2021 from 12pm to 4pm (CEST) in a hybrid format on a studio set in the halls of the Hôtel de Ville of Paris. With the support of 26 countries, the event will gather young LGBTI+ leaders and high representatives, representatives of international organisations, of governments and municipalities.
The event will permet to establish an international platform that will let LGBTI+ youth to let their voices be heard and create strategies to reinforce young LGBTI+ rights and their inclusion in the 2030 Agenda.
A second part of the event is planned from February 21st to February 23rd 2022, in person at the UNESCO, the Quai d’Orsay and the Hôtel de Ville of Paris. This second segment will gather more than 80 young people, 50 representatives of cities, and 30 high representatives and representatives of different countries.
The conference aims to launch and nurture an international movement for the rights of LGBTI + young people, to find concrete responses to defend the fundamental rights of young people and to build a dialogue between international organizations, governments, municipalities and LGBTI + young people on the implementation of inclusive policies for LGBTI + youth.
In view to the current sanitary situation, it was decided to split the conference in two segments by holding of a global virtual conference on the rights and inclusion of LGBTI + young people which will be organized on 17th of May 2021 followed by a in-presentia conference that will be held from 21st-23rd February 2022.
The virtual launch on May 17 will bring together LGBTI + youth, representatives of international organizations, governments and cities, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. (CET), on a television set at the Hôtel de Ville in Paris and broadcast online with France Média Monde as a media partner. The event will be open to the virtual participation of the general public, thus making it possible to reach LGBTI+ young people from all continents. The City of Paris International Prize for LGBTQI+ Rights will be awarded to three nominees including a French, Francophone and international organization to close the virtual conference.
The in-presentia conference will be held at UNESCO Headquarters, the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and the Paris City Hall and will bring together 80 young LGBTI+ leaders and activists as well as 80 high-level representatives, international organizations, governments and municipalities.
The World Conference for the Rights and Inclusion of LGBTI + Youth is under the high patronage of Emmanuel Macron, President of the French Republic
This initiative is also supported by the French Interministerial Delegation for the fight against racism, ant-semitism and anti-LGBT hatred (DILCRAH) and the Permanent Delegations of Albania, Andorra, Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Cape Verde, Czech Republic, Chile, Cyprus, Costa Rica, Estonia, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Finland, Iceland, Luxembourg, Portugal, Norway, New Zealand, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Uruguay to UNESCO.
Objectives:
Enable LGBTQI+ youth to take part in a dialogue that will enable LGBTQI youth to organize and speak with a unified voice in order to influence the global agenda.
To understand the challenges facing LGBTQI+ youth as well as youth organizations and identify proper responses by youth and for youth.
To promote active involvement of LGBTQI+ young people in the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals Agenda, particularly SDG 16, SDG 4, SDG 3.
Encourage cooperation, development and sharing of good practices and innovative solutions between international organizations, governments, municipalities, city networks and civil society of LGBTI + youth in order to effectively defend and disseminate the voice of young people as well that to build effective public policies at the municipal, regional and international level.
Deliverables:
Concrete and operational Announcements and commitments by high level representatives during the virtual conference on May 17, which will then be available on an online platform
A strategic and operational roadmap for the inclusion of LGBT + youth in the multilateral system produced by the Youth Envoy of the United Nations Secretary General, the United Nations Independent Expert on protection against violence and discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity
A final report of the conference including action plans created by LGBTI + youth and cities representatives.

Info: Le 16 mai 2016, les associations AIDES et SAFE (partie Francaise et hollandaise de l’île de Saint-Martin) organisent une marche de Concordia vers Marigot afin de commémorer IDAHOT [la journée internationale de lutte contre les discriminations envers les LGBT+].
La marche s’achevera par un rafraichissement puis un débat iformel sur la thématique de cette année à savoir : “Ensemble: résister, soutenir, guérir !”.
Afin de parachever notre engagement dans la luttre contre les lGBT-Phobies et pour mettre en oeuvre notre objectif d’accroissment de la visibilité LGBT+, nous procéderons à l’inauguration d’une fresque murale sur le front de mer de Marigot au cours de la période de mai/juin prochain.
