IDAHOT Report 2016: Cyprus

To mark the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia Ledra Street, Nicosia, were decorated in rainbow flags and decorations. The street is part of the area linking Northern Cyprus to the rest of the island and is an important centre of the city. For more information on this event please click here.
Local LGBT campaigners also held a small event to mark the day – and used the opportunity also to draw attention to discrimination and stigma facing the LGBT community.
