IDAHOT Report 2015: Nicaragua

Nicaragua hosted one more time celebrations for the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia. Many activities were organized by the civil society, LGBT and human rights activists.
The National LGBT Committee, which brings together 23 LGBT groups from around the country and individuals of all sexual orientations and gender identities, once more brought together everyone in celebration of May 17. In Managua, CONISIDA and organizations working on HIV prevention and care, marched on the day of Solidarity on Friday May 15 in Chichigalpa, Chinandega and a walk against lesbo- homo-bi-transphobia.
Various events, the most notable being the National March, took place on May 17th, with hundreds of members, activists and supporters  marching through the main avenues of Managua, in a cheerful and festive atmosphere
