The regional UNESCO office launched the “Color me in” campaign, a creative online campaign to raise awareness about the challenges faced by lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex (LGBTI) learners in the region, and to catalyze support for preventing and addressing school violence and bullying that is based on sexual orientation and gender identity or expression (SOGIE). The campaign collaborated with 17 LGBTI artists from eight countries throughout Asia to create comics, soundscapes, collages, photographs, illustrations and short videos that capture what a safe and inclusive school for LGBTI learners looks or feels like.
