Senegal IDAHO Report 2013

In Senegal, the Dutch and German Embassies hosted a reception for IDAHO, in presence of civil society representatives and members from the LGBT community. The reception provided the opportunity for the diplomats to critique the fact that religion was invoked as an excuse for human rights violations. The reception ended with the screening of several short films, including a documentary about the story of two outed Senegalese men, whose lives have been destroyed by social stigma.
