In Mexico, IDAHO is officially recognized by Presidential Decree signed by The President of The Republic, Enrique Pena Nieto, in 2014. However, May 17 since 2012 was officially recognized as official Day against Discrimination. Thanks to LGBT activism now it has its full name: Dia Internacional Contra la Homofobia, (IDAHO in Spanish)
Today, May 17, 2016, is the first time that the President of the Republic of Mexico will meet with 50 LGBT Leaders inside the Presidential House: Residencia Oficial de Los Pinos
