Looking Ahead: Tunisia in 2016

In Tunis, feminist activists have announced the Second edition of CHOUFTOUHONNA, Tunisia’s International Feminist Art Festival, which will feature a number of performances and exhibitions focused on the experiences of LBT women.
Due to the difficult political and legal situation for LGBTI individuals in Tunisia we are not expecting a large number of events to be held on IDAHOT 2016. However, we have already confirmed a small number of actions, and hope that the global solidarity fostered by this year’s events will in some small way benefit Tunisia’s local LGBTI community.
