IDAHOT Report 2016: Romania

Local activists from pro-LGBT group MozaiQ this year held a number of small events in the capital city of Bucharest. The event featured over 50 campaigners and members of the local community gathering for an awareness-raising event outside the Palace of Parliament, where rainbow umbrellas were used to draw attention to the ongoing discrimination faced by the LGBT community.
The event was also designed to bring LGBT issues into the public sphere during the ongoing election season which is happening across the country.
