Now in its third edition, this report continues our mission to document, analyze, and advocate for the rights of LGBTQI+ individuals in Bangladesh. Building on our previous reports from 2023 and 2024, this latest edition highlights both progress and persistent challenges faced by the community in a society where full equality remains an elusive goal.
Key Insights from the Report:
📌 The impact of political shifts in 2024 on human rights policies
📌 Ongoing discrimination, violence, and stigma fueled by fundamentalist groups, political parties, and student movements

📌 Inspiring stories of activists and organizations fighting for justice and equality
Based on extensive research, media reports, and firsthand accounts, this report captures the state of LGBTQI+ rights from January to December 2024. However, many cases of abuse remain unreported due to fear and societal stigma, limiting the full scope of these violations.
Despite these challenges, this report stands as a critical advocacy tool, reinforcing the urgent need for systemic change and continued activism.
