Info: Trans(cendence) is a regional conference elevating the rights, well-being, and emancipation of gender-diverse people in the Caribbean. The first Caribbean-wide human rights conference for gender-diverse people, it puts the spotlight in the hands of our trans and non-binary siblings and lets them choose the focus.
A collaboration of ECADE, Butterfly Barbados and TransWave Jamaica, Transcendence propels the movement to trans(cend) gender binaries, protect and uplift all of us.
The conference is happening in Gros Islet, Saint Lucia, in the anglo-Caribbean, from May 17 – 19, 2023.
The human rights conference is part of a broader project by ECADE to bring visibility to and amplify the voices of transgender and gender diverse people in the eastern Caribbean. It precedes the Transcendence Mr and Ms Queeribbean showcase.

Info: First ever Caribbean wide gender-expansive pageant, Transcendence: Mr and Ms Queeribbean is a chic showcase of Caribbean transgender, non-binary beauty, fashion and talent!
It will feature a trans masculine Kings’ Showcase and trans feminine Queens’ Showcase in a pageant format. 7 queens and 5 kings from 8 Caribbean countries will compete for the first ever Mr. and Ms. Queeribbean!
This gender-expansive show is trans and non-binary led. Strutting the stage will be Kings and Queens from the region showcasing their talent and expressing their truth with drag performances from Jamaica, Saint Kitts, Guyana, Suriname, Dominica, St. Croix, St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Saint Lucia!
Come cheer for trans liberation as we transcend gender binaries! Be part on the progressive side of history!
Mr. and Ms. Queeribbean is the culmination of a broader project by ECADE to bring visibility to and amplify the voices of transgender and gender diverse people in the eastern Caribbean. It is preceded by a human rights conference, also in Saint Lucia, from May 17 – 19, 2023.
