Event: Sana All: Ensuring LGBTQI Inclusion in the Time of COVID-19
Direction: UP Center for Women’s and Gender Studies (UP CWGS) in partnership with Psychological Association of the Philippines LGBT Special Interest Group (PAP LGBT SIG)
Date: May 16, 2020
Time: 8 PM (Philippine Standard Time, UTC+8)
Info: “Sana All: Ensuring LGBTQI Inclusion in the time of COVID-19” is a Twitter panel discussion that aims to engage representatives from various sectors in talking about how the COVID-19 pandemic has uniquely affected LGBTQI Filipinos. Given the absence of a national anti-discrimination law, pandemic-era measures fail to take LGBTQI people into account, thus worsening the community’s experiences of prejudice and discrimination. It also aims to discuss how various institutions can address this exclusion and in moving forward, guarantee that all Filipinos remain safe and healthy amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. Our panelists are:
• Atty. Claire De Leon – Secretary-General Lagablab LGBT Network
• Naomi Fontanos – Executive Director, GANDA Filipinas
• Dr. Winlove Mojica – Clinical Associate Professor, Philippine General Hospital-UP Manila
• Ryan Silverio – Regional Coordinator, ASEAN SOGIE Caucus
“Sana All” will be held via the UP CWGS and PAP LGBT Psych SIG Twitter accounts (@UPCWGS and @PAPLGBTSIG, respectively) on May 16, 2020, Saturday, 8 PM
