The British Foreign & Commonwealth Office, the central body for all UK diplomatic and foreign affairs matters, will this week support IDAHOT 2016 with a number of international actions.
From the organisation:
For IDAHOT, the Foreign & Commonwealth Office will be marking the day in a number of ways to promote the UK’s international work in LGBT issues as well as the FCO’s corporate actions as an employer. FCO posts around the world will be involved through their own activities, events and social media posts. FLAGG, as the FCO’s LGBT staff network, holds great importance to IDAHOT and will be supporting these and doing its own social media communications.
Short videos will be published throughout the day to mark IDAHOT, including from Baroness Anelay (FCO Minister responsible for human rights) and from senior LGBT and straight ally colleagues around the world, showing their support in promoting LGBT rights worldwide and the need for inclusive and diverse workplaces. FLAGG’s Twitter account @FCOflagg will be tweeting and retweeting all of these and other content throughout the day. We will be using the hashtags #IDAHOT and #NoFilter.
