In the framework of May 17th, International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia, various activities were carried out in Colombia. A forum on equal marriage or a photography campaign were part of some of the actions organized by LGBT activists, universities and organizations.
Colombia Diversa, in association with the Faculty of Law of the University of the Andes and the Good Government Foundation, conducted the “egalitarian adoption and marriage: an unfinished road” forum, held to strengthen the public debate on these issues.
The “Network Coalition of Sexual Minorities” in commemoration of May 17th launched activities in several municipalities in the Caribbean region of Colombia, with the support of the District Municipality of Santa Marta, the governor of Magdalena, mayor of Foundation Tables LGBTI District of Santa Marta, Cienega Foundation, Aracataca and LGBTI Mesa Magdalena department.
