IDAHOT Events 2015: Egypt

Under the title “I’M NOT A CRIMINAL I’M JUST DIFFERENT” and as part of the Egyptian Day against Homophobia and Transphobia on May 11^th 2015 (the memorial of Queen Boat) organisers have prepared for the IDAHOT celebrations.

The organisation Bedayaa has announced the launch of its online campaign “I’m not a criminal I’m just different” and is organising an event in Cairo on May 24th 2015 that includes panel discussion around violence against LGBTQI community in Egypt and a photo gallery.

Bedayaa is an organisation for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Inter-sex in the Nile Valley Area “Egypt and Sudan”. Their mission is to create a safe space for all LGBTIQ people in the Nile Valley where they can communicate, exchange knowledge, discuss issues, share experiences, and work on improving their lives and themselves.
