Every year until 2020 we used to feature on Country Pages, which can be accessed via the interactive world map, as much information on May 17 events as we could find. We are currently unfortunately not in a capacity to do so anymore until further notice.

Country pages now only feature announcements of events that were directly registered on our site.

Event: “Our Bodies, Our Lives, Our Rights” An IDAHOBIT Showcase Event
Direction: Since 2003, the Stephen Lewis Foundation has partnered with community-based organizations working at the intersections of HIV and human rights on the frontlines of the HIV and AIDS pandemic in sub-Saharan Africa. The SLF’s approach to partnership is based in supporting the priorities that community-based organizations identify and being guided by the expertise held at the community-level.

Hosted by Toronto drag artist Paddy Booboo, this evening will shine a light on our incredible partners across sub-Saharan Africa who work tirelessly to support LGBTIQ communities, while showcasing their talents and self-expression through performance and art. Together, we will celebrate what it means to claim Our Bodies, Our Lives, Our Rights.
