Info: Each year on the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia, New Generation Humanitarian NGO (NGNGO) organizes different events: flash mobs, meeting-discussions, press releases and conferences to mark this special day of fighting discrimination against LGBTI people and bring the public attention to the issues and problems of this people.
This year on May 17th, NGNGO will organize a meeting discussion with participation of LGBTI community, family members and allies, community-based organizations, diplomatic missions,i.e. U.S. Ambassador, British Ambassador, Ambassador of the French Republic, of the Swiss Confederation, of Argentina, of Czech Republic, Deputy Head of EU Delegation, Deputy Head of Swedish Embassy to Armenia, state and international agencies, i.e. Ministry of Healthcare of Armenia, Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme in Armenia, UNAIDS Country Coordinator, other local and international organizations.
The goal of the meeting is to provide a dialogue platform to Armenian state and international agencies, diplomatic missions, LGBT community and community-based NGOs to discuss the progress and implemented activities in the field of fighting homophobia, transphobia and biphobia in Armenia, share success stories, to speak up about the existing issues and problems and make the community voice heard.
The event will include welcoming speeches from diplomatic missions and international organization representatives in Armenia, and two plenary sessions with participation of state agencies and NGO, and LGBTI community representatives.
