Annual Crucial Report on Trans Rights in Europe released

TGEU’s Trans Rights Europe Map monitors the conditions imposed upon trans people in European states for legal gender recognition.
These conditions include the requirement to obtain a mental health diagnosis, still imposed in 34 countries, and the requirement for a trans person to be sterilised before having their gender legally recognised. 14 states still require this despite the European Court of Human Rights declaring, in 2017, that requesting infertility is incompatible with human rights: https://tgeu.org/trans-rights-map-2018/
