More than 500 people from Turkey, Russia, Hungary, Norway, Germany, Peru, Spain and the US, as well as Iranian refugees and members of the local LGBT community, took part in a march against homophobia and transphobia to Sakarya Square in Ankara.
Shouting such slogans as “No recognition, No peace!”, “Hatred is killing, Parliament isn’t seeing!”, the protestors requested “constitutional equality”.
The march was the 7th annual International Meeting Against Homophobia, which culminated in an “Anti-homophobia and Anti-transphobia Demonstration”.
