Info: Equals with funding from the UNDP Being LGBTI in the Caribbean (BLIC) Project is hosting its annual International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT) event on Saturday 18 May 2024 from 10am-1:30pm at UN House, Marine Gardens, Christ Church.
In the first half of the event, there will be a panel discussion entitled, “Intergenerational allyship within the LGBTQ+ community: How the different generations have resisted homophobia, biphobia and transphobia” with Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X and Baby Boomer panelists.
In the second half, there will be workshop where we discuss how homophobia, biphobia and transphobia show up in conversations around climate change/climate justice, social inclusion, access to healthcare and laws & policies and brainstorm how to tackle these issues.
For in-person attendees, refreshments will be provided, and transportation will be arranged for those who need it.
