Exhibition “Queer”

Exhibition "Queer"

The exhibition on homosexuality and trans* identity aims to break down barriers and raise awareness. Twelve roll-up displays provide visitors with information on the history of homosexuality: Until when were homosexual acts criminalized in Germany? What do the colors of the rainbow flag represent? What do penguins have to do with homosexuality? A wealth of interesting, sad, but also humorous information has been visualized in an entertaining way. The exhibition makes it clear that history is not a linear progression. Its images depict a constant ebb and flow—and serve as a reminder that today’s status quo cannot be taken for granted.

artistiques.

- Helen Kennedy, Executive Director, Egale Canada
- Ken Janssens, Chief Executive Officer, Open for Business
- Ruslan Savolainen, LGBTI+ Activist, forced to leave Russia to continue his work
- moderation: Stelios Foteinopoulos, International Policy and Advocacy Manager, Kaleidoscope Trust
