South Gippsland Shire Council raises the rainbow flag to recognise IDAHOBIT Day (International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia) and show support to the LGBTQIA+ community. Due to 17 May 2026 falling on the weekend, the flag raising is held on Wednesday 13 May at Council’s Main Office, 9 Smith Street, Leongatha. Council’s office will also be illuminated in rainbow colours from 13–17 May.
