Locals and visitors alike are invited to share in the joy and celebrations of IDAHOBIT with a panel of 5 speakers acknowledging this special day with a panel of Priscilla cast and crew sharing their lived experiences and discussing the themes of the musical, just as relevant today as they were when the original film was made in 1994.

Doors open at 10.00am for mingling and finding your seats upstairs. Panel event commences from 10.30am – 11.30am, then enjoy some morning tea or lunch on-site at the Ulumbarra Cafe before the 1.00pm matinee performance of Priscilla: Queen of the Desert (NOTE: tickets starting from $48.75 per person MUST be pre-purchased seperately to this FREE event.)

IDAHOBIT is the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersexism, and Transphobia, celebrated annually on May 17th. It commemorates the World Health Organization’s decision on May 17, 1990, to remove homosexuality from the Classification of Diseases. The day focuses on raising awareness of LGBTQIA+ rights violations and celebrating diversity.
