DESCRIPTION:From Harm to Protection is an IDAHOBIT 2026 event that brings together LGBTQI+ asylum seekers\, refugees\, activists\, and allies in the Netherlands to reflect on this year’s theme\, “At the Heart of Democracy.” The event highlights that true democracy must protect the rights\, dignity\, and safety of everyone\, including LGBTQI+ people seeking asylum and refuge. Through storytelling\, dialogue\, and community connection\, we explore how to transform experiences of discrimination and exclusion into stronger systems of protection\, inclusion\, and belonging.
