IDAHOT Rainbow Flash in Chemnitz and other German cities heralds CSD month

On the occasion of the International Day against Homophobia and Transohobia, LGBT five cities in Germany (Pirna, Plauen, Chemnitz, Leipzig, Dresden) mobilized their efforts to raise public awareness of May 17th.
Thousands of colorful balloons were let into the sky to symbolize the LGBT struggle for acceptance and diversity. The balloons carried special messages and wishes for people united around IDAHOT across the world.
“May your messages end up in the right places!”, the organizers said.
The action was coordinated by LSVD Sachsen and heralded the CSD season in Saxony. This year, the CSD events will take place in four major cities of Germany:  Dresden, the CSD week (www.csd-dresden.de) starts on May 31, 2013 and ends on 02 In June 2013, followed by CSD Chemnitz (www.csd-Chemnitz.de) on 15 June 2013 and the CSD Pirna on 22 June 2013. The CSD-week Leipzig from 12th – 20th July 2013 (www.csd-leipzig.de).
