Su forma de apreciar la realidad y la visión de sí misma cambia cuando comienza a convivir con las muxes\, un colectivo que lucha por el reconocimiento de su género como un tipo más en la sociedad\, a la vez que combate con sus propias pasiones\, traumas y sentimientos escondidos. Un inesperado terremoto\, que sacude todas las emociones de la comunidad\, consigue finalmente que Marta y el espectador descubran el origen de su tormento.

DESCRIPTION:Join ILGA World and the Délégation Genève Ville Solidaire of the City of Geneva for an online event addressing how to promote the digital inclusion of LGBTIQ+ people and ensure their safety in hostile environment. \nThe event is part of the City of Geneva’s annual campaign against Homophobia\, Biphobia\, and Transphobia 2025. \nDigital spaces offer unprecedented opportunities for LGBTIQ+ people to connect\, advocate for their rights\, and build collective movements. However\, an estimated 2.6 billion people remain offline due to inadequate infrastructure\, high costs of devices\, and lack of accessible content. SUMMARY:The Power of Communities: Using the Universal Periodic Review to Fight for LGBTIQ+ Human Rights
DESCRIPTION:This year The Advocates is joining with organizations all over the world to celebrate the Power of Communities and the International Day Against Homophobia\, Biphobia\, and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT). IDAHOBIT commemorates the day in which the World Health Organization declassified homosexuality as a mental disorder on May 17\, 1990. \nIn our CLE “The Power of Communities: Using the Universal Periodic Review to Fight for LGBTIQ+ Human Rights\,” The Advocates’ managing attorney\, Nathan Madson\, will be joined by Khaleem Ali (Attorney-at-Law and Caribbean Human Rights Defender) and Lily Ansel (Associate\, Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP)\, who will discuss how they have engaged with the Universal Periodic Review (UPR)\, strategize how this UN human rights tool can be used to produce change at the local level\, and explore how advocates can engage with the UPR of the United States later this fall.

On May 14\, ILGA-Europe unveils the 2025 Rainbow Map – the ultimate snapshot of where LGBTI rights stand across Europe. \nGet ready to explore how laws and policies across Europe are shaping the lives and rights of LGBTI people. \nThe Rainbow Map – ILGA-Europe’s annual benchmarking tool – comprises the Rainbow Map and Index and national recommendations. ILGA-Europe have produced the Rainbow Map and Index since 2009\, using it to illustrate the legal and policy situation of LGBTI people in Europe. \nThe Rainbow Map and Index ranks European countries on their respective legal and policy practices for LGBTI people\, from 0-100%. \nIn order to create our country ranking\, ILGA-Europe examine the laws and policies in 49 countries using 76 criteria\, divided between seven thematic categories: equality and non-discrimination; family; hate crime and hate speech; legal gender recognition; intersex bodily integrity; civil society space; and asylum. \nPolicymakers\, researchers and journalists are able to go ‘behind’ the points and see the original information sources that we base our Map ranking on.

DESCRIPTION:Queerfeindlichkeit nimmt weltweit zu. Auch in München gab es Angriffe auf LGBTIQ* und ihre Einrichtungen. Dagegen wehren wir uns: Lauft mit beim IDAHOBIT am Samstag\, 17. Mai\, 15 Uhr\, Sendlinger-Tor-Platz. \nDer IDAHOBIT ist der Internationale Tag gegen Homo-\, Bi-\, Inter- und Transfeindlichkeit. Extremismus\, Populismus und Hetze schüren Queerfeindlichkeit; international werden queere Rechte abgebaut\, in manchen Ländern sogar kriminalisiert. In München gab es Schmierereien an LeTRa und Sub; immer wieder wurden auch queere Menschen selbst Opfer von Angriffen. \nAber wir sind viele\, wir sind vereint\, wir lassen uns nicht spalten. Ob schwul\, lesbisch\, bi\, trans\, inter*\, queer oder Ally – gemeinsam stehen wir für Akzeptanz und Menschenrechte ein. \nWir rufen alle Münchner*innen und Organisationen auf\, sich unserer Kundgebung und dem Demonstrationszug durch die Innenstadt anzuschließen. \nAb 15 Uhr sprechen Vertreter*innen verschiedener LGBTIQ*-Organisationen. There have also been attacks on LGBTIQ* people and their organisations in Munich. We are fighting back against this: join the IDAHOBIT on Saturday\, 17 May\, 3 pm\, Sendlinger-Tor-Platz. \nIDAHOBIT is the International Day against Homo-\, Bi-\, Inter- and Transphobia. Extremism\, populism and hate speech are fuelling queer hostility; queer rights are being dismantled internationally and even criminalised in some countries. In Munich\, there were graffiti on LeTRa and Sub; queer people themselves were repeatedly the victims of attacks. \nBut we are many\, we are united\, we will not be divided. Whether gay\, lesbian\, bi\, trans\, inter*\, queer or ally – together we stand up for acceptance and human rights. \nWe call on all Munich residents and organisations to join our rally and the demonstration march through the city centre. \nRepresentatives of various LGBTIQ* organisations will speak from 3 pm. Our protest march will then start from Sendlinger Tor via Oberanger\, Rosental\, Viktualienmarkt\, Tal\, Isartor\, Frauenstraße\, Reichenbachstraße\, Gärtnerplatz\, Corneliusstraße\, Müllerstraße and Frauenhoferstraße to Papa-Schmid-Straße.
