Expect dancing\, laughter\, and giggles galore as Mama G celebrates the power of being who you want to be and loving who you are. \nThe International Day Against Homophobia\, Transphobia\, and Biphobia (IDAHOBIT) takes place on 17 May each year and is a global moment of solidarity and visibility for LGBTQIA+ individuals and communities. It’s a perfect day to celebrate kindness\, inclusion\, and equality while standing against discrimination\, and to enjoy storytelling that inspires and uplifts. \nDescribed as “everyone’s favourite pantomime dame” (Metro)\, Mama G has been telling stories for the last six years. DESCRIPTION:Community members and allies will gather at Founders Metropolitan Community Church in Los Angeles for a public act of courage: the unveiling of the Rainbow Steps. \nCreated by Lynn Segerblom\, co-creator of the original rainbow flag in 1978\, the installation transforms the church’s historic entry staircase into a vibrant spectrum of color — a symbolic pathway representing courage\, visibility\, and the ongoing struggle for LGBTQ+ dignity and equality. \nFounders MCC holds a unique place in LGBTQ+ history. Its founder\, Rev. Discussions will also highlight the implementation of national and regional action plans aimed at combatting discrimination based on sexual orientation\, gender identity and expression\, and sex characteristics. \nAs in previous editions\, European LGBTI civil society organisations will present their annual maps and indexes\, offering a comprehensive overview of LGBTI rights in Europe.
