DESCRIPTION:The exhibition on homosexuality and trans* identity aims to break down barriers and raise awareness. Twelve roll-up displays provide visitors with information on the history of homosexuality: Until when were homosexual acts criminalized in Germany? What do the colors of the rainbow flag represent? What do penguins have to do with homosexuality? A wealth of interesting\, sad\, but also humorous information has been visualized in an entertaining way. The exhibition makes it clear that history is not a linear progression. DESCRIPTION:Chaps and Straps presents Queer Line Dancing at Komedia Brighton on Tuesday 26 May 2026\, 7–10pm. This event is created by and for LGBTQIA+ people\, especially welcoming trans\, intersex and non-binary participants. Dances are taught with options for different gender expressions and are designed to help participants connect with their body with joy. Completely beginner-friendly and open to all levels of confidence. The University of Sussex LGBTQ+ Staff Network is attending this event to mark IDAHOBIT 2026. Tickets via Komedia Brighton.
