SUMMARY:IDAHOBIT-2025: Uniting for Equality\, Dignity\, and Change in Armenia
DESCRIPTION:New Generation Humanitarian NGO (NGNGO) hosted Armenia’s official IDAHOBIT-2025 event under the theme “Power of Communities.” Bringing together LGBTQI+ activists\, diplomats\, civil society leaders\, and government representatives\, the event served as a platform to celebrate community resilience and advocate for equality and dignity. Keynote speeches emphasized the importance of visibility\, solidarity\, and systemic change. The event featured powerful personal testimonies from local and migrant LGBTQI+ activists\, highlighting both the progress achieved and the challenges that remain in building an inclusive society in Armenia. Ambassadors of France\, Canada\, Belgium\, diplomatic representatives of the UK\, Germany\, the UN\, WHO\, and Armenia’s Human Rights Defender’s Office reaffirmed their commitment to human rights and inclusive development. \nNGNGO also organized video campaign dedicated to IDAHOBIT 2025\, where diplomatic representatives of Armenia reflected on a legislative or a policy reform that has positively impacted the LGBTQI+ people and the general society.

DESCRIPTION:El próximo viernes 16 de mayo\, a hs 19\, en el Centro Cultural de la ciudad de Juan Bautista Alberdi se realizará la jornada de actualización “Herramientas para el abordaje y la inclusión de la diversidad”. \nLa jornada es organizada por la legisladora provincial Sandra Figueroa\, vicepresidenta de la Comisión de protección de los derechos de mujeres\, género y diversidad de la Honorable Legislatura de Tucumán\, en el marco del 13vo aniversario de la sanción de la Ley de Identidad de Género y del Día Internacional de lucha contra la discriminación por orientación sexual e identidad de género. El formato del encuentro será de actualización en contenidos y está dirigida a estudiantes y profesionales de tareas de cuidados\, educación y áreas sociales. \nLa jornada consiste en la exposición de profesionales que abordarán las temáticas de las Familias Elegidas y las vejeces LGBT; las despatologización de las identidad de género y las denominadas Terapias de Conversión. El conocimiento de estos temas contribuye a que desde las diversas disciplinas convocadas\, se pueda brindar asistencia y acompañamiento para la inclusión de personas pertenecientes a esta comunidad. El evento contará con la participación de referentes de La Grupa Trans\, Familias Diversas\, la biblioteca popular Crisálida de género y diversidad afectivo sexual de la fundación Bienvenides\, la Casa Caracol para vejeces LGBT\, el espacio de primera escucha amigable Mariana Alarcón y la fundación LesWarmi. Entrada libre y gratuita\, se darán certificados de asistencia.
