IDAHOBIT, celebrated annually on 17 May, is a global initiative that aims to raise awareness about discrimination, violence, and challenges faced by the LGBTQIA+ community. This year\u2019s theme, \u201cTogether always: united in diversity,\u201d emphasised the power of solidarity and allyship in fostering an inclusive society that respects and celebrates the rights of all individuals, regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity, or expression.<\/p>\n

In 2023, ILGA World took a more active role in the global campaign, by coordinating the IDAHOBIT Working Group and hosting its Secretariat to facilitate participation of our communities worldwide. Various activities, events, and initiatives were organised by individuals, communities, and groups to advocate for equality and respect for LGBTQIA+ populations.<\/p>\n

At a time when hard-won advances for our LGBTQIA+ communities around the globe are increasingly under threat, the power of solidarity, allyship, and community across identities, borders, and movements has never been more necessary. When we unite, in all our beautiful diversity, we can really bring about change!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Today, we are thrilled to share with you the Annual Report, providing a brief overview of the impact and moments from IDAHOBIT 2023. As we reflect on the lessons learned, let us renew our commitment to promoting equality, respect, and love for all individuals. Together, we can create a world where diversity is embraced and celebrated.<\/p>\n
